Do $300 Jimmy Choos or Manolo Blanik's make your feet hurt by the end of the evening the same way that $20 Metro 7 by Wal-Mart do? Is the $280 difference just the name or do Jimmy and Manolo have a secret way to make high heels less painful?
I don't actually know anyone with a pair of Choos or Manolo's so it is only with the help of my more shoe conscious readers that I will ever have an answer to this burning question.

I can't speak from experience (at least not THAT pricey) but according to my mom's testimony, the better brands make all the difference. She has weird shoe issues, lemme tell ya. And she'll tell you that her megabucks designer boots are the best she's ever worn. All she wears are heels and I don't think she spends under $100. for most of them.
I will say that the copper heels (2-inch? 2 and a half?) I bought last summer are the most comfy high heels I've ever had - more expensive than your Wal-Marts, less than Manolo. Simple Sam & Libby.
Hi, and MY question is,.. do you throw out the crippling shoes? Or do you wait for your toe scars to go away before wearing them again, hoping THIS time, they will fit right?
